Late Shri Somnath Mehta ji was the founder of Mehta Transport Corporation of India and started the transport business way back in the year, 1971. He was a visionary, broad-minded and well known personality in the transport business. He knew the ground reality of the business. Late Shri Somnath Mehta ji was a very religious person and had a very collaborative vision in his mind about the business, people, environment and service to the corporate world. As a part of corporate social responsibility, he was involved in highly reputed presidentship of one of the temples, Shri Rama Krishna Temple at Ashok Vihar, Delhi since last 15 years and served the people with humility. His contribution towards serving the temple was very extraordinary.
He is the son of Late Sh. Somnath Mehta. Ambitious, smart & humble- all these words describe him perfectly. He feels that discipline in any organization can take the company to unbelievable heights. Parvesh ji has done his schooling from SALWAN PUBLIC SCHOOL, PUSA ROAD, DELHI and he is graduate in Commerce from KHALSA COLLEGE, Delhi University, Delhi. He involved himself into this transport business in the year 1992 and since then he is serving the organization 24 x 7 with his hard work, dedication & sincerity. Parvesh ji always feels that the people are greatest asset for any organization. His vision is very clear- to take his business from 300 crores to 1000 crores within next 5 years.
Now Mr. Rasik Mehta, the elder son of Mr. Parvesh Mehta (Managing Director of Mehta Group), after completing his education in commerce background from Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, Delhi University, has joined the family business. He has taken the responsibility to convert the company into a debt free entity within 2 years and has improved the debt-equity ratio of the company to 2:1, in nearly one year and further he is improving all the operations of the company. He is currently handling the fleet with increased efficiency. He has an optimistic & focused personality. He is adding value with the help of technology to all the customers and he has always given priority to core values rather than money. He is working every single day to achieve the company’s mission.
Now the family's youngest son, Nikunj Mehta, has also started working full time in the family business. A true entrepreneur by heart, he believes that with the right technology & proper SOPs of the organisation, the company can achieve even a more phenomenal growth rate. His drive & passion for logistics is completely evident by his strong work ethic & dedication. In a short amount of time, he has made many significant changes in the company. He's trying to innovate new processes in the field of logistics & in addition to this, he's also trying to make the business process easier for the customer as well as his employees. Maintenance of customer service & providing quality value are his top priorities. Now with his hard work & vision, the group will achieve extraordinary success.
